Crown Regalia¶
Crown Regalia is long-term, account-wide progression built from gems. Open
[profile and select REGALIA to manage your Gem Vault, open sockets through
Commission Standing, and choose the bonuses active on your character.
Your account shares Commission Standing and a Gem Vault with room for 1,000 gems. Each character keeps a separate socket arrangement, so a fighter, fisher, and crafter can draw different builds from the same collection.
Build your Regalia¶
- Complete Crown Ledger Assignments to earn Crown Marks and Commission Standing.
- Select PURCHASE GEMS in REGALIA to open the Store's Regalia shelf.
- Choose a gem tier. The purchased tier is guaranteed, its family is random, and the gem goes directly into your account Gem Vault.
- Raise Standing to open sockets in each Commission territory.
- Click a Gem Vault gem and then click any open socket, or drag the gem directly onto an open socket.
- Open INSTALLED and click a gem to travel directly to its current socket.
Only set gems grant bonuses. Standing is never spent when a socket opens.
Physical gems and trading¶
Any uninstalled Gem Vault gem can be moved back to your backpack as a physical item for a Crown Marks fee: 100, 250, 600, 1,500, or 4,000 Marks by tier. This includes gems bought from the Store, earned from play, or added from an older physical gem. In the REGALIA tab, hover a gem card in the Gem Vault and choose MOVE TO PACK, or select the gem and choose MOVE TO INVENTORY. A confirmation shows the exact fee before anything is spent. Moving a gem to your backpack clears it from every character's arrangement on that account. A physical gem is a real item in your backpack. It can be traded, sold, banked, and lost, and it shimmers softly wherever it sits, on the ground or in a container. Higher tiers are visibly larger cuts, from a small rough stone to a grand faceted flawless jewel, and each family keeps its own color.
Physical gems of the same family and tier stack in one pile, and a pile splits like any stack. Double-click a physical gem in your backpack to add one gem from the pile to your account Gem Vault. You cannot add or rearrange Regalia gems while in combat.
Reading the constellation¶
The REGALIA tab places 40 sockets directly on the constellation. Ten sockets form a path around each large WARDEN'S, HARBOR, HARVEST, or ARTISANS' name.
Each node is a real socket:
- Grey with a lock means your account has not reached the required Standing with that socket's Commission.
- Open means the socket can accept any Gem Vault gem.
- Set means a gem is installed and its bonus is active on this character. Its glow grows with the gem's tier.
- Next unlock marks the next Standing goal inside a Commission territory.
Selecting an open empty socket gives it a brighter gold center and halo, so your current target stays clear while you choose a gem.
The Commission color belongs to the socket. An installed gem keeps its own family color, so a Tide gem can sit in a Warden's socket or a Forge gem can sit in a Harbor socket. Any gem still fits any open socket. A gem set in a socket of its own Commission pays a little more, and a matched socket wears a thin green ring so you can see it at a glance. See Commission affinity.
Every family has a distinct color. In the Profile menu, each tier uses its own Crown Cut silhouette, deeper facets, brighter highlights, and tier-specific metal setting, so a Flawless gem is recognizable without reading the full name. Hover a set socket to see the installed gem's family, tier, and exact bonus.
Moving around the board¶
- The panel opens in a whole-tree atlas view with every Commission visible.
- Drag an open part of the constellation to pan.
- Roll the mouse wheel to zoom toward or away from the point under your cursor.
- Double-click the board to return to the whole-tree view.
- Select a Commission button to travel to its ten-socket territory.
- Select a socket or uninstalled Gem Vault gem to inspect it and manage the arrangement.
- Select a gem under INSTALLED to glide directly to its socket. The socket stays selected so you can drag the gem back to the Gem Vault or move it to another open socket.
Choosing a Commission first glides back to the whole-tree view, then takes a slower, more deliberate trip into the selected territory. Another focus click, drag, wheel movement, or reset takes control immediately.
The board builds its groups from the live socket catalog. New Commissions create new territories automatically, and longer paths can grow into another ring without a client layout rewrite.
Socket unlocks¶
Each current Commission offers ten sockets. A socket opens automatically when your permanent Standing reaches its threshold. Progress is independent, so Harbor Standing can open Harbor sockets while Warden's sockets remain grey.
| Socket in each Commission | Standing required |
|---|---|
| 1 | 50 |
| 2 | 150 |
| 3 | 400 |
| 4 | 1,000 |
| 5 | 2,500 |
| 6 | 5,000 |
| 7 | 10,000 |
| 8 | 20,000 |
| 9 | 40,000 |
| 10 | 75,000 |
With four current Commissions, this creates 40 unlockable sockets. Crown Marks are not spent to open them.
Standing from the field¶
Dungeon and ocean play now earn Standing on their own, no job required:
- Warden's Commission - dungeon kills. Every kill inside a dungeon pays a small amount of Warden's Standing, scaled by how dangerous the creature is (true vermin pay nothing, skeletons a quarter point, top predators and bosses four points) and by the dungeon's depth-tier bonus. In a group the kill's value is split equally among everyone who actually damaged it, so bystanders earn nothing and grouping never multiplies the take. Tamed and summoned creatures never pay.
- Harbor Commission - sinking NPC ships. Every NPC vessel you helped sink pays Harbor Standing by hull size: 2 for a small ship, 4 for a medium, 8 for a large.
- Each Commission's field ledger takes at most 100 Standing per account per day. Fractions carry - four skeleton kills add up to a full point, nothing is lost to rounding. When a day's ledger fills, you're told, and it reopens at midnight (universal time). The weekly Assignments and artisan donations remain the faster ladders; field Standing is the layer where everything you were already doing counts a little.
Donating crafted work for Artisans Standing¶
Beyond the weekly work orders, crafters can grind Artisans Standing at their own pace: Maester Aldric, the Artisans' Commission clerk in the smith quarter accepts crafted arms, armor, and clothing as donations. The rules:
- Exceptional work only. The Commission has no use for ordinary pieces; anything below exceptional quality is handed back.
- Your own maker's mark only. The piece must record you as its crafter; vendor stock and loot are refused.
- Finer materials count for more. An exceptional iron piece is worth 2 Standing; each material tier doubles it, up to 128 for exceptional Lyonspire work.
- The ledger takes at most 250 Standing per account per day. Donations are a slow, steady ladder by design: even a dedicated crafter feeding the clerk daily needs many months (and a mountain of refined material) to walk the whole 75,000-point ladder. The weekly Artisan work orders remain the faster path.
Drop the piece on the clerk to donate it; the item is consumed. He tells you your running Standing and how much the ledger will still take today.
Up to 20 gems can be set at once. At that limit, you can still move a set gem to another open socket or replace a set gem directly. Clear a socket before adding a new gem to an empty one.
Gem families¶
Every gem has a family, Commission affinity, and permanent tier. Its family decides the bonus and visual identity. Values below run from Rough through Flawless.
| Gem | Affinity | Bonus by tier |
|---|---|---|
| Gem of the Hunt | Warden's Commission | 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5% melee and ranged damage against creatures |
| Gem of the Hex | Warden's Commission | 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5% spell damage against creatures |
| Gem of the Tide | Harbor Commission | 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 16% better odds on fishing specials |
| Gem of the Lode | Harvest Commission | 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20% chance of one extra yield while mining or lumberjacking |
| Gem of the Forge | Artisans' Commission | 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10% faster mana regeneration |
Hunt and Hex bonuses apply only against creatures. They do not increase damage against players. Tide improves the chance of fishing specials. Lode bonuses apply only to mining and lumberjacking, and their combined effective chance is capped at 100%. Lode never affects fishing. Forge speeds mana regeneration.
Commission affinity¶
Every gem family belongs to a Commission, listed as its Affinity above. Set a gem in a socket owned by that same Commission and it pays more than its printed tier value. A Tide gem in a Harbor socket is worth more than the same Tide gem in a Harvest socket.
Placement is never restricted. Any gem still fits any open socket, and an unmatched gem still gives its full printed value: the affinity is a bonus for tidy arrangement, not a penalty for a mixed one.
How the extra is worked out. It is per bonus line, not per gem. Each line on the ACTIVE REGALIA BONUSES rail adds up the value of every matched gem feeding it, takes 25% of that combined figure, rounds once, and never pays less than +1 for that line. So a single matched Tide I (3%) becomes 4%, and two matched Tide II gems (12% combined) become 15%. Because the rounding happens once at the end, adding a matched gem always raises the line, but two small matched gems in the same family are not worth two separate roundings.
Lode's extra-yield chance still stops at 100%, and the affinity cannot push a line past that ceiling.
Where you can see it:
- A matched socket carries a thin green ring on the constellation.
- Hover a set socket: the tooltip says whether the affinity is earned.
- The ACTIVE REGALIA BONUSES rail shows how much of each total came from affinity and how many gems matched. The STATS tab shows the same figures.
- A gem's own tooltip names its Commission and the bonus it earns in a matching socket.
Active bonuses¶
The REGALIA tab's ACTIVE REGALIA BONUSES summary is the one-stop view of every gem bonus currently applied to your character. It combines set gems by family and shows both the active gem count and the resulting total. The server calculates these totals from the same set of gems used by gameplay.
The same Regalia totals also appear on the STATS tab. Both views update after an installation, move, removal, or preset change.
Tiers and Store prices¶
Higher tiers provide stronger bonuses and never decay. The Store has one Marks offer for each tier. Your chosen tier is guaranteed, while every current gem family has an equal chance to be selected.
| Tier | Name | Crown Marks |
|---|---|---|
| I | Rough | 200 |
| II | Cut | 600 |
| III | Polished | 1,800 |
| IV | Brilliant | 5,400 |
| V | Flawless | 16,200 |
Purchases go directly into the shared Gem Vault. They never need backpack space and do not require a separate binding step. You can later move a Store gem to your backpack for its tier fee, then trade it like any other physical gem. Commission Standing decides how many sockets the account can use, not which gems it can own.
Gem Vault¶
The right rail has one GEM VAULT shelf. It shows your account collection
and its capacity as owned / 1,000. Use UNINSTALLED to choose a gem for
your build or INSTALLED to review and remove gems already set on the
character. Each page shows up to ten gems.
Click a gem and then click an open socket, or drag the gem directly onto the socket. The target reacts while you drag, and the installed gem settles into place after the server confirms the move. Drag a set gem from its socket back onto the Gem Vault to remove it from the character. A compact strip above the vault shows the selected gem's full effect and the Commission holding it.
Vault cards use a distinct color and family sigil for each gem family. Gem cuts and tier pips make quality visible without repeating long names on every card.
Use FIND to search by gem name, family, tier, effect, Commission, or id. The page field accepts a page number directly, so a large collection never requires stepping through every earlier page. Search results update as you type.
The vault is shared by every character on the account. A gem can occupy one socket at a time on each character. Setting it in another socket on the same character moves it instead of duplicating it. Removing a set gem returns it to the UNINSTALLED collection.
Store gems follow the same move-to-pack rules and tier fees as every other Gem Vault gem.
Arrangements and presets¶
Profile presets remember the complete Regalia arrangement along with the rest of the saved build. Loading a preset restores that character's saved layout from gems still present in the account Gem Vault.
A newly saved empty preset clears every current socket when loaded. A preset created before Regalia existed leaves the current arrangement unchanged. Preset loading is blocked during combat because it can change active gem bonuses.
Playtest shortcuts¶
The Playtest Setup menu can grant 1,000,000 Crown Marks for Store testing. It can also raise every current Commission to 75,000 Standing, opening all 40 current sockets. Repeating the unlock action does not add Standing beyond the current final socket requirement.
These are playtest conveniences, not normal progression rewards.
Privacy¶
Crown Regalia is private. Viewing another player's profile does not reveal their sockets, Gem Vault, gems, or Standing progress.
