Dungeon Depth & Rewards

Going deeper into a dungeon should be harder — and worth it. Lyonspyre layers a depth-tier gold bonus on top of the normal loot a creature drops: the deeper and more dangerous the zone, the more gold its kills pay out.

How it works

  • Certain dungeon zones are tagged with a gold multiplier.
  • When you (or your pet) kill a creature inside one of those zones, it drops bonus gold on top of its normal loot.
  • The bonus scales off the creature's own gold, so a tough monster deep in a dungeon pays out far more than a weak one near the entrance. Depth and monster difficulty stack.

The bonus counts toward everything gold normally feeds: your wealth, your per-dungeon gold totals, and the achievements tied to gold earned in a region.

More deep zones — and tougher monsters built to live in them — are on the way. Numbers here are tuned over time, so treat the table as a snapshot.

Notes

  • The bonus only applies to player kills. Trap kills, monster-versus-monster kills, summoned/controlled creatures, and PvP corpses pay no depth bonus.
  • This is a reward layer, not a difficulty setting — the monsters themselves are what make a deep zone dangerous. Bring a group for the deepest areas.
  • Kills are shared with nearby allies — talent points and resonance XP go to everyone who helped, party or no party. See Group Rewards.
  • The depth gold bonus stacks with the Avarice gold-find bonus of whoever in your group is running it.
